overwhelming poetry about the way you –  about the way I –  the oils from my fingertips  silkscreened onto your skin  forming long strokes and infinity symbols,  till your cheek becomes slick and shiny  against the dim light.   
I somehow cooled your skin  
by my touch  as if I stole the warmth right out of you;  leaving behind some kind of residual,  an imprinted pattern,  that leaves us both empty,  cold, and choked.   
so I come a bit closer  to see what we are  free of what we both once were.  and as I touch my forehead
